LeBron James surpasses NBA legend, climbs to sixth on all-time steals list

LeBron James is a living legend. At 40 years old, he is still dominating the NBA like few others ever have. With every game, he adds to his incredible legacy, breaking records and reaching milestones that leave fans and pundits speechless.

In the Lakers’ 118-104 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday, LeBron did it again. With a single steal, the 4-time NBA MVP passed Hall of Famer Maurice Cheeks (2,310 steals) to climb to 6th place on the NBA’s all-time steals list. LeBron now sits at 2,311 steals and shows no signs of slowing down.

Next on the steals list is NBA legend Gary Payton, who sits at 5th with 2,445 steals. LeBron is now just over 100 steals behind the Payton and if history is any indication, it won’t be long before LeBron catches up.

LeBron’s stood tall during the Lakers’ loss in Philadelphia, scoring 31 points, 8 rebounds, and dishing out 9 assists, all while shooting 62.5% from the field.

Playing his 22nd season, the Lakers legend continues shine, averaging 23.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 9 assists per game. Last week, the 40-year-old was named an All-Star starter for the record 21st time in his career.
