NBA announces rescheduled dates for games postponed due to California wildfires, winter weather

Lakers will now play three straight games and six in seven days during Week 22.

The NBA announced game schedule adjustments on Tuesday with a press release. The league have confirmed new dates for two games postponed earlier this month. To accommodate these changes, seven other games have been rescheduled.

Earlier this month, the Lakers vs. Spurs game was postponed due to wildfires in Los Angeles and the Pelicans vs. Bucks game was postponed due to heavy snow storm in New Orleans.

The Los Angeles Lakers and San Antonio Spurs will play on March 11. LeBron James and Co. will now play three straight games and six in seven days during Week 22. The Lakers are currently fifth in the West, and the new schedule could impact their game.

The game between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Milwaukee Bucks will be played on April 6, just before the final week of the regular season.

The new schedule has impacted the Orlando Magic, as their three regular-season games have been rescheduled to accommodate previously mentioned changes. The Golden State Warriors’ two games at Chase Center have also been shifted.

Here’s the other changes in the NBA schedule:

  • Bulls at Magic: Moved from March 12 to April 6.
  • Magic at Spurs: Rescheduled from March 17 to April 1.
  • Bucks at Lakers: Moved from March 18 to March 20.
  • Raptors at Warriors: Moved from March 19 to March 20.
  • Bucks at Warriors: Moved from March 20 to March 18.
  • Magic at Pelicans: Moved up from April 6 to March 13.
  • Pelicans at Bucks: Rescheduled from April 9 to April 10.
