Jose Aldo has finally decided to leave his UFC gloves after UFC 315. The veteran MMA fighter had his last fight against Aiemann Zahabi at UFC 315 on May 10, 2025. Jose Aldo has been a two-time former UFC Featherweight Champion, including the inaugural one in his UFC career. 

The King of Rio however, did not end his last UFC fight the way he wanted to. This eventually led him to announce his retirement. So what did Jose Aldo have to say following his retirement and how did his last fight end? Let’s have a look.

Jose Aldo Bows Out of the Octagon Gracefully 

Jose Aldo fought his last UFC fight against Aiemann Zahabi at UFC 315 on May 10, 2025. He unfortunately, lost the fight via unanimous decision against his opponent in the third round. The King of Rio finally decided to hang up his UFC gloves at the end of the fight (via UFC on X) – 

Jose Aldo told the interviewer after his fight that he thought that he did not have it in him anymore. He revealed that this week has been very tough for him, which led him to believe that he did not have it in him any more. He stated that so many things had happened throughout the week that he felt it was difficult to go through. Jose Aldo does not want to go to war all the time. He felt this was the last time and he can’t do this anymore. That being said, he thanked Dana White and everybody in the UFC and the fans for everything they have given him. The King of Rio bid his farewell from the Octagon with a record of 32-10-0. 

How Did Jose Aldo’s Last Fight End?

Jose Aldo last fought Aiemann Zahabi at UFC 315 on May 10, 2025. Their fight lasted for three rounds. The King of Rio started the fight well with his well known boxing skills and his speed. Moreover, he also managed to hurt Aiemann Zahabi early in the third round (via UFC on X).

Aiemann Zahabi came back strong in the later rounds  and dominated Jose Aldo inside the Octagon. He then finished foo the King of Rio in five minutes of Round 3 via unanimous decision as per the UFC official site. This was also one of Aiemann Zahabi’s biggest wins in his UFC career. Jose Aldo then announced his retirement from MMA and left his gloves inside the Octagon.

Jose Aldo had retired from his MMA career for the second time. Moreover, he also announced that his retirement is final this time.Jose Aldo’s fans need to wait and see what the UFC Hall of Famer and the former champion choose to do next in his life.
