Erling Haaland has scored 39 goals in 40 appearances for Norway.
After starting the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers campaign with a win, Israel and Norway will face each other in the second matchday of Group 1. Norway will be hungry for more after putting five past Moldova in their first game.
Israel on the contrary managed to sneak a late-winner against Estonia. Both of these nations have been absent from the World Cup for over two decades. With Norway’s last appearance being in 1998, they will be hoping to stay on winning terms.
Norway is said to have their golden generation in Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard in the squad. The 43rd-ranked nation has developed high hopes as they aim for their first major tournament qualification since Euro 2000.
Erling Haaland is the most likely to appear in Norway’s game against Israel. After opening his account for the campaign against Moldova, the 24-year-old will be keen to add to his International goal tally.
Norway failed to qualify in the 2022 World Cup behind the Netherlands and Türkiye. Despite losing only two games of the 10, their campaign wasn’t enough for them to have a ticket to Qatar.
Haaland scored his 39th goal for Norway in his 40th appearance against Moldova. He will play a crucial role for Norway should they qualify on to to the later stages of the tournament next year.
