Harry Kane Is Considering Potential Premier League Return but One Club’s Name Has Come Up in Midst of Many Interests.
What was going to be a long-term future for Harry Kane at Bayern Munich, is now under scrutiny. Multiple reports now suggest that the England captain is open to a return to the Premier League. As per reports, Liverpool have emerged as a surprise contender for Kane’s signature.
The 31-year-old striker left Tottenham Hotspur in 2023. Since arriving in Germany, he has enjoyed a prolific spell. However, according to El Nacional, he could now be available for a transfer back in England due to a reported release clause in his contract. Liverpool looking to strengthen their attacking lineup, could work as the perfect place for Kane.

Kane’s contract at Bayern Munich reportedly includes a release clause. It was initially valued at £67 million but could now drop to around £54 million in January 2026. Notebly, Bayern officials have not yet confirmed these details. However, the speculation has still fueled interest from Premier League clubs.
When asked about his contract situation last month, Kane remained tight-lipped, saying, “What I can say is that I’m very happy at FC Bayern. No comment on the clause.” Even so, reports from Spanish outlet El Nacional claim that Kane is “seriously considering returning to the Premier League.”

They’ve also reported that he will “close out his career in England.” Liverpool have been identified as a potential frontrunner, especially because of ongoing uncertainties surrounding Mohamed Salah’s future and Darwin Nunez’s inconsistent performances. They are also considering other strikers, but Kane has become a possible name on that list.
Kane’s current contract runs until 2027, and Bayern Munich would likely demand a significant fee if they were to part ways with their star forward. Kane has scored 213 goals in the English top flight. He just needs 47 goals to touch Alan Shearer’s all-time record of 260.

He’s had significant success at Bayern. He has netted 76 goals in 82 appearances. However, Kane previously expressed his desire to surpass that milestone and this could be a key factor in his decision to make the move. Even so, Liverpool’s interest is still in its early stages. Hence, the coming months will be crucial in this transfer saga.
