‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes was attacked by Kevin Owens while he was acknowledging the crowd after defending his Undisputed Championship. Both had a brutal match against each other in which Cody emerged victorious.

Cody’s victory didn’t go well with Kevin Owens, who acted like a sore loser and attacked Cody from behind. The attack happened moments after Saturday Night Main Event went off the air. He then delivered a Pile Driver to Cody and took off with his belt. Cody was laid on the stretcher when K.O. entered the ring again and stood on Cody’s body to flaunt the belt at the crowd.

Updates on Cody Rhodes: Is Cody Rhodes Ok?

Cody had to be taken in an ambulance and WWE is still to give an update on his injury. Triple H and Nick Aldis were seen visibly upset with Owens. Owens might have to face serious repercussions as this is the second time he performed the banned piledriver. He already injured Randy Orton with the same move.

What made Kevin Owens attack Rhodes?

Kevin Owens was straightway confronted by “The Game” Triple H and both were seen arguing. Triple H was visibly upset with Kevin Owens post his attack on Cody. Triple H pushed Kevin in anger and Kevin pushed him back.

Kevin lost to Cody Rhodes in a brutal match that he would have won had the referee been in the ring. The referee was out after Kevin pushed Cody and the referee got in the way. K.O. promised that he would turn “The American Nightmare” to the Canadian Dream but lost his cool when he lost to Cody.

The former friends turned enemies due to Cody’s alliance with The OTC Roman Reigns at Badblood. The two have not been seeing eye to eye ever since. Kevin Owens attacked Cody and Randy and delivered a Pile Driver to “The Viper” which riled up their rivalry further.

WWE is yet to give an official word on the extent of Cody’s Injury while Randy Orton is still out of action since K.O. delivered a Piledriver to him. We will see how WWE deals with Kevin Owens after his Sneak attack on The WWE Undisputed Champion.
