Ilia Topuria rules the UFC featherweight division with ruthless precision. The undefeated 17-0 king shocked the world by knocking out Alexander Volkanovski in Feb 2024 to claim gold, ending Volk’s four-year reign. Eight months later at UFC 308, he torched Max Holloway with a third-round KO that silenced 20,000 in Abu Dhabi. His third masterpiece, a cold KO of Charles Oliveira at UFC 317, proved that he is in fact one of, if not, the best fighters in the UFC. Topuria is 3-0 against former champs so far and his UFC reign continues.
To make things special his wife Georgina Uzcategui was ringside for every victory, supporting her husband’s wins alongside their son. She had been his rock for many years, but a lot of hints recently, is suggesting that the pair may have split. Why? Let’s find out.
This story started in October, when Georgina shared a post on Instagram which said, “A mother’s true superpower is not being alert to danger, it’s building a world where her daughter can grow up brave, free, and unafraid,” Topuria’s wife wrote.
While neither Topuria nor his wife commented on this post, this post seemed to suggest that she has prioritized her role as a mother, and was going through a phrase of processing and introspection. Moreover, Georgina has removed every post of her and Topuria together, while unfollowing him on Instagram.
While Topuria still follows his wife, his recent post on Instagram suggests that the couple have split. In an IG post, on the last slide of multiple posts, Topuria shared a hand written note which said, “My problem was I wanted to take people with me to the top who didn’t even want to see me at the top.”
The post was captioned with a Steve Maraboli quote, “Those who have the ability to be grateful are the ones who have the ability to achieve greatness.”
While neither Topuria nor his wife has officially announced their split, their recent posts are suggesting that both are focusing on what they want to do and achieve. Topuria’s post hints at some kind of betrayal from one of his loved ones, and that may or may not be his wife.
For now we assume that the couple are still together, likely going through a rough phrase in their relationship, if not for a complete split.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
