Igor Thiago Wanted by Three Premier League Clubs After Stunning Start To Season

Brentford forward Igor Thiago has enjoyed a blistering start to the Premier League season. The Brazilian striker has been shortlisted for the Premier League Player of the Month award for November. Igor Thiago scored five goals in four games during the month. He produced two braces in the 3-1 wins over Newcastle United and Burnley at the Gtech Community Stadium.

Igor Thiago has scored 11 Premier League goals so far, which puts him second in the scoring charts in the Premier League. Only Manchester City forward Erling Haaland is ahead of him with 15 goals. As a result, three Premier League clubs are targeting the Brentford striker ahead of the January transfer window.

Newcastle and Villa Join Tottenham in Race for Igor Thiago

Tottenham, Newcastle United and Aston Villa have all shown strong interest in Brentford striker Igor Thiago. Igor Thiago’s contract runs until 2029 but his impressive form makes him a tempting option for rival clubs. One source said that Brentford are bracing for “tempting offers” and admit it will be hard to stand in the player’s way if bids come in at the right level. Another source noted that Unai Emery is a long term admirer and sees Thiago as a future replacement for Ollie Watkins.

Newcastle are in the market for another striker after a slow start from Yoane Wissa. The forward arrived injured and has not yet settled as expected. Newcastle view Thiago as ready made cover with long term potential. They have tracked him since early autumn and could accelerate plans in the next few weeks.
