After the ending of their fight, booth fighters met each other backstage and congratulated each for their efforts. Ian Garry Machado revealed to Carlos Prates (via MMA Junkie on Instagram)-

“You are sinister. You have a very strong heart.”

“The Future” then shook his opponent’s hand and told him that anytime he needs Garry’s help to go to the top, he will be there for him and come to Brazil (via his official Instagram account).

Notably, Ian Machado Garry has also praised Carlos Prates during the post-fight conference. He respected Prates for his Muay Thai skills during the fight. “The Future” also revealed that he wanted all Brazilians to succeed in MMA given how hard they train (via TheMacLife on YouTube).

Ian Machado Garry replied to this by saying “100%.” Notably, both have teased a rematch with the title on the line down the road.
