Ian Machado Garry and Carlos Prates beat the life out of each other during their main event fight at UFC Fight Night on April 26, 2025. After the ending of their fight, booth fighters met each other backstage and congratulated each for their efforts. Ian Garry Machado revealed to Carlos Prates (via MMA Junkie on Instagram)-
“You are sinister. You have a very strong heart.”
“The Future” then shook his opponent’s hand and told him that anytime he needs Garry’s help to go to the top, he will be there for him and come to Brazil (via his official Instagram account).
Notably, Ian Machado Garry has also praised Carlos Prates during the post-fight conference. He respected Prates for his Muay Thai skills during the fight. “The Future” also revealed that he wanted all Brazilians to succeed in MMA given how hard they train (via TheMacLife on YouTube).
Carlos “The Nightmare” Prates also had his own respect for his opponent “The Future” Ian Machado Garry. He, first of all, thanked his opponent for accepting the fight. He then revealed (via MMA Junkie on Instagram)-
“We’re going to see each other again. Maybe for the title.”
Ian Machado Garry replied to this by saying “100%.” Notably, both have teased a rematch with the title on the line down the road. It is just a matter of time before this rematch happens, given how Ian Machado Garry as made next three fight plan clear at the post-fight conference of UFC Fight Night.
