The rivalry between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre seems to be never ending infact, it takes a whole new turn each time they meet. Something similar happened last week when Cody Rhodes attacked Drew McIntyre in his house, and the repercussions were felt on SmackDown tonight. Cody Rhodes was in no mood to spare anyone, and he made it very clear during his segment tonight.
Cody Rhodes made it clear to Nick Aldis that he runs the ring on SmackDown, and the latter works for him as long as he holds the title and the crowd is behind him. All this happened as the fallout of Cody Rhodes invading Drew McIntyre’s house and attacking him while Nick Aldis was trying to sign a contract with the Scottish Warrior.

The segment began when footage from earlier this week was shown, in which Nick Aldis attempted to negotiate a contract with Drew McIntyre for his return to SmackDown. Cody Rhodes burst into the scene, and a brawl broke out between him and Drew McIntyre. This provided Drew McIntyre with the leverage that he needed to prove his claim that he works in an “Unsafe Environment.”

Nick Aldis confronted Cody Rhodes and was visibly frustrated with him. He told the champion that his reckless actions forced Nick Aldis to sign a bad deal. The deal that would prevent Cody Rhodes from laying hands on Drew McIntyre. If Cody does not follow the clause and attack Drew McIntyre before their match, he will be stripped of the Undisputed WWE Championship.

The deal also states Drew McIntyre would pay a hefty fine and apologize to the referee he attacked in return for his reinstatement in WWE and a title match against Cody Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes electrified the crowd by what came next, as he was undeterred by the threat of getting his title stripped. He asked Nick Aldis whether he forgot who he was talking to and reminded him that he had dethroned Roman Reigns and John Cena.

The QB1 of WWE defied Nick Aldis’ authority, and his final words stated, “I’m the one who sent the tweet that changed the game… You’re saying I am not above the law? I AM THE LAW.” He agreed to the “no-touch” clause but also reminded Nick Aldis that the latter works for him as long as he holds the gold.
