Bayern Munich have won the UEFA Champions League six times, a feat that places them among Europe’s elite. Bayern Munich secured their first European Cup title in 1974, defeating Atletico Madrid 4-0 in a replay after the first game ended 1-1 after extra time. They went on to complete a historic hat-trick of titles, overcoming Leeds United in 1975 and Saint-Etienne in 1976.

Bayern Munich were crowned the champions of Europe in 2020 for a sixth time when they defeated Paris Saint-Germain 1-0 in the final at the Estadio da Luz, Lisbon.

One year ago today, Bayern won their 6th Champions League title after beating upstarts PSG 1-0 in the final in Lisbon. Bayern played the most dominant European season ever, winning all their games in the competition.

Reigning champions Real Madrid have won the UEFA Champions League 15 times, making them the most successful team in the UCL. Italian club AC Milan are next with seven. Bayern Munich and Liverpool are tied third on the list, having won the UCL six times each.
