Bronny James had a career-high points night for South Bay Lakers.
A day after making a brief appearance on court for Lakers in their blowout win over Celtics in NBA, Bronny James turned up for G League side South Bay Lakers at UCLA Health Training Center.
After spending much of his time on the Lakers’ bench since joining the roster, Bronny was reassigned to South Bay, and he didn’t disappoint. The 20-year-old rookie recorded a career-high 31 points to lead the South Bay Lakers to a 122-110 win over the RIP City Remix.
Bronny, who had last played for the G League team in a game against the Cleveland Charge on December 28, showed why the Lakers were wise to give him a chance to run the show with South Bay. The rookie finished out the game having gone 10-for-22 from the field. He also went 5-for-11 from behind the arc while adding two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
