Kuminga is currently averaging at 16.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this season.
The Golden State Warriors recorded a blowout win on Thursday, January 23 as they defeated the Chicago Bulls 131-106. This was their first win in three matches as they were coming on the back of consecutive losses against the Celtics and the Kings.
While the team with a 22-22 record in the current season is seemingly on its way of making a comeback, it seems that their injury concerns are not going to get away anytime soon. The Warriors have their five hoopers injured, including stars like Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga.
Draymond’s status continues to remain ‘out’ due to the calf strain that he sustained during a match against the Wizards. Accompanying him is star forward Jonathan Kuminga who sustained an ankle injury during the clash against the Grizzlies on January 5.
The fourth-year star forward is undergoing treatment for his ankle injury that he suffered more than three weeks ago. According to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater, Kuminga is nowhere close to making his return.
Mentioned within the podcast: Jonathan Kuminga remains weeks away from a return. Ankle still wrapped and he hasn’t advanced to any real court work. This was a bad sprain. Could be talking post All-Star break. He’s been around and in positive spirits. https://t.co/pwetWCkR3V
