The world of mixed martial arts has seen its fair share of controversial statements. However, UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell just crossed a line that left fans and officials stunned. The 30-year-old fighter, known for his grappling skills and Arkansas drawl, recently appeared on the first episode of ArkanSanity Podcast.

He made deeply troubling remarks about Adolf Hitler. This isn’t the first time a UFC fighter has sparked controversy with outlandish statements -basically whatever Sean Strickland says or when Colby Covington regularly stirred political tensions? Dana White Makes His Feelings Known About Bryce Mitchell’s Statement

Dana White, in his characteristic blunt style, called Hitler “one of the most disgusting and evil human beings to ever walk the face of the Earth.” He dismissed Bryce Mitchell’s comments as the ramblings of a “moron.” However, staying true to the UFC’s stance on fighter expression, White confirmed there would be no disciplinary action.

“I’ve heard a lot of dumb and ignorant sh*t in my day, but this one is probably the worst. That’s the problem with the internet and social media. You provide a platform to a lot of dumb and ignorant people…It’s free speech. That’s the beautiful thing about this business, for all of you who hate Bryce Mitchell, you get to see him hopefully get his ass whooped on global television…We’re disgusted by it. I think he [Bryce Mitchell] literally is one of the dumbest human beings,” said White following a Power Slap event in Saudi Arabia.

Instead, he offered a classic Dana White solution: let Mitchell potentially “get his a** whooped on global television.” This approach mirrors how the UFC has historically handled controversial fighter statements. Some examples include when Conor McGregor made inflammatory remarks about Khabib Nurmagomedov’s religion or when Sean Strickland verbally attacked the LGBTQ cummunity.

As the UFC continues to grow in mainstream popularity, incidents like these raise questions about the balance between free speech and responsible platform management in combat sports.

Many fans are now wondering if Mitchell’s next fight will face additional scrutiny or if this controversy will affect his ranking in the featherweight division, where he currently sits at #13 (most probably he won’t).
