It’s race day in Silverstone! Formula 1 is finally going to witness a full day of racing action as the drivers take on the formidable track of Silverstone. The British Grand Prix is going to present a lot of action as the weather becomes rather wet for the team’s likings. Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri are going to lead the pack into turn-1 before an inevitable clash for leading the race.
As the oldest and most historic race, the British Grand Prix presents may challenges to the drivers. Last year, the British GP was won by one of their own. Lewis Hamilton the defending winner of the event. This time, Lando Norris is the home crowd’s favorite driver to win the race. The British Grand Prix is a fast and aggressive event owing to its high speed corners. The race gets much more chaotic once rain falls on the track to disturb the grip of the drivers. Let’s go ahead and know the schedule for today’s session.
As per the official schedule on F1 website, the race start from 3:00 PM track time in UK. The race is going to be a 52 lap event around the circuit. The Silverstone circuit is one of the longest tracks on the F1 calendar but it still achieves high speeds. As a result, drivers are going to cover the total race distance of 306.196 km within 1.5 hours.
The British Grand Prix race start may get affected due to heavy rain. If there are red flag conditions then F1 may shorten the number of laps accordingly. In order to stay up to date with the latest schedule follow us our regular updates on The Playoffs.

nhl I work as a Writer at The Playoffs specialising in NHL, Formula 1 and Motorsports. I got into online journalism a couple of years ago. I used to be an intern for a website managing their Formula 1 content and then I served an entire year as a contractual writer.
Read moreFor me, online journalism was not something I expected. I am a Mechanical Engineer aiming to join Formula 1. At the same time, I am a poet, writer and my university’s Literary Club Lead. One day the dots connected together and I realised I could use my writing skills to convey my passion for Motorsports.
The biggest aspects I love about my role are- Scuderia Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel. When I am not fawning over them I like to convey my opinions to the public, in a manner which helps them gain a new point of view. I love helping people explore new ideas about Motorsports and obviously get recognised as a writer all over the world.
Message to Readers: I promise you one day you’ll see me managing operations on track with a Formula 1 team ; )
