“Flame Thrower” – ‘Proud’ LeBron James react to son Bryce’s Hoophall debut

LeBron James, at 40 years old, is still going strong in the NBA. He has achieved nearly every milestone possible in his career. One of his biggest dreams came true this season when he got to play alongside his son, Bronny James. The Los Angeles Lakers picked Bronny as the 55th overall pick in the 2nd round of the 2024 NBA Draft. The James duo duo made history by playing together in the Lakers’ season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves. They became the first-ever father-son duo to share the court in an NBA game.

Now, LeBron’s younger son, Bryce James, is making waves in his own basketball journey. Bryce, a junior at Sierra Canyon High School, had an impressive debut at the Hoophall Classic. The Hoophall Classic is a top high school basketball event, and Sierra Canyon played on the big stage on Saturday. Though LeBron didn’t attend the game in person, he cheered for his son on the social media.

After the game, LeBron shared another post, “So proud of you Maximus!!! I literally just shed a tear. PROUD POPS!!”

Bryce had an impressive outing, helping Sierra Canyon secure a 60-46 win over Grayson High School from Georgia. He was named the game’s MVP, scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and shooting 4-of-6 from beyond the arc.

Bryce recently announced his commitment to play college basketball at Arizona. He still has one more year left in high school before he heads to college.
