LeBron James’ youngest son Bryce James gives update on his future, commits to Arizona

Bryce James, the 17-year-old son of NBA legend LeBron James, provides a major update on the future of his basketball career. It’s a biggest development in pursuit of seeing LeBron James’ both sons in NBA. On a New Year day, Bryce made an announcement of donning an Arizona basketball jersey with a caption that he has fully committed to join the University of Arizona Wildcats.

LeBron James congratulated his son, Bryce. “BEAR DOWN!!!!!” the Lakers legend wrote, referencing the college’s official rally cry, before using his son’s middle name by adding, “CONGRATULATIONS Maximus!!”

Bronny, who made his NBA debut this season, also joined the celebration. “Yessirrrrrrr,” Bronny commented on his brother’s post. Jason Scheer of Wildcat Authority confirmed the announcement on Wednesday. “100% committed,” he wrote on Instagram.

Following the news, Savannah James, the proud mother of Bryce James shared her happiness on social media. “So proud of you (Bryce James)!! Your silent hustle hustle has definitely not gone unnoticed!! I’m so excited for you and I can’t wait to cheer you on through this journey.” she wrote on the Instagram.

In November, the 17-year-old posted a series of photos on social media featuring Arizona gear. However, NBA fans believed that Bryce James visited the university. LeBron James also posted the same image alongside a caption and emojis along with Bryce, 17, Bronny, 20, daughter Zhuri, 10 and wife Savannah James.

It feels like Basketball is running in James family’s blood. This family has already set a legacy in the NBA. In October, LeBron James and Bronny James made history as the first father-son duo to play in the NBA game. The Lakers rookie is also playing for the South Bay Lakers in G-League. The 20-year-old recently participated in the G League Winter Showcase.

Meanwhile, Bryce was previously invited to the USA Basketball under-17 national team training camp last June. We might see him playing along with his father, who celebrated 40th birthday on Dec. 30. LeBron James told press that he could play seven more years if he wanted. With his youngest son entering college ball and potentially the league next year, LeBron will be able to play on the NBA court with both his sons.
