Fabrizio Romano Report – Carlo Ancelotti Speaks On His Future With Real Madrid, Arda Güler and More

Carlo Ancelotti has been linked to a huge deal for Brazil’s National Team over the past weeks. After their loss to FC Barcelona in the Copa del Rey finals, the Italian manager might be nearing his end at the Spanish capital. 

Ancelotti has guided Real Madrid to two Champions League and two La Liga titles in his second stint. However, reflecting on the current season, the system has lacked consistency over the past few months. With the injury situations not helping Ancelotti’s clause, some would also manage to call it a rough patch. 

‘I Respect Real Madrid’ – Carlo Ancelotti On Not Talking About His Future Till The Season End 

Ancelotti is one of the most successful managers in Real Madrid’s history. Managing the club in 2013, he has had numerous moments of glory at the club. Winning 160 of the 229 games since arriving in 2021, the 65-year-old is in talks of bidding farewell to the Spanish side. 

When asked about his future at the club and Real Madrid, Ancelotti in his latest press conference said:

“I know what I will do but I will not tell you before the end of La Liga”, says Ancelotti. I respect Real Madrid, I love this club. I can’t answer you about what happens with my future after May 25″.

“I know very well what I do, what I plan to do and what I will do… but now, full focus on winning the LaLiga title. I can’t tell you what will happen but I have never had problems with Real Madrid. And I will never fight with the club.“

Continuing on his possible departure, Ancelotti expressed uncertainty as he replied: 

“My goodbye, whenever it happens 2025, 2026, 2030, it will be fantastic because I love this club and the club loves me”.

Romano also mentioned that: “Brazil has decided to wait for Carlo while they’ve verbal agreement done since Monday.” The national team after sacking Dorival Junior earlier this year have been actively looking for Ancelotti’s response. With the talks being held already, Ancelotti could head to Brazil for new challenges. 

 Arda Guler Has A Safe Future At Real Madrid 

Turkish player Arda Guler has had very few opportunities since he arrived in 2023. However, impressive with his qualities, the 20-year-old is backed with strong admiration. Stating his presence in the squad, Ancelotti in his conference continued,  

“Arda Güler is showing his quality, I think he will be a great midfielder. Not many players have his qualities. He will be a very important player in the future of Real Madrid”.

With a possible manager vacancy at Real Madrid at the end of the season, several candidates have been speculated to step up. However, it is their former player who has emerged as the favourite to replace Ancelotti next season. 

Real Madrid who will possibly go through a major rebuild have challenging weeks ahead. With their exit from the Champions League and La Liga’s fate out of their hands, the Los Blancos are heading towards a trophy-less season.
