Making over 200 appearances for Real Madrid from 2009-2014, the former defender is closer than ever to a return to Santiago Bernabeu.
Alonso said he had no updates on being as about his future quoting: “My future? Nothing new to say. We have to wait. Communication with the club is always good. There is clarity between everyone.” The 43-year-old has rejected a few offers over the last season as the fans speculate he was waiting for a move to Madrid.

Real Madrid who fans and pundits say has a dream team at their service will have very less to show if FC Barcelona doesn’t stumble in the La Liga. Moreover, given the standards that have been set over the years, the departure of players like Casemiro and Toni Kroos has started to reflect.
With players like Dani Carvajal and Luka Modric taking the supporting cast, a new system could be said in the making. Bringing in a new manager to change the mindset as the synergy among the stars keeps growing, Real Madrid is heading towards a gradual rebuild.
