Real Madrid have already been dealing with a full-blown defensive injury crisis. Three defenders namely Ferland Mendy, David Alaba, and Antonio Rudiger, all underwent surgery within 24 hours earlier this week, effectively ruling them out for the rest of the season. Rudiger, however, may return in time for the FIFA Club World Cup in June. Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao are also long-time absentees.
