Endrick Set to Leave Real Madrid on Loan – Where is He Headed?

Moumita Dutta

Real Madrid’s young forward Endrick is at a crossroads in his early Real Madrid career. The 19-year-old Brazilian recovered from injury over a month ago. Even so, he has yet to feature this season under Xabi Alonso. His continued absence from the pitch has sparked growing speculation about his future.

Reports suggest that the club could sanction a loan move in the January window. Endrick’s transition to life at Real Madrid has been far from straightforward. After arriving amid great excitement, a hamstring injury sidelined him just weeks before Alonso’s appointment.

A relapse extended his recovery, forcing him to miss the Club World Cup and spend nearly four months out. He is fully fit now. However, the teenager still has been serving as an unused substitute in six consecutive games. Sources close to the player have spoken to the Athletic.

The sources said that Endrick is eager to stay and prove himself. Even so, they also acknowledged the difficult reality. It is understood that the opportunities are unlikely to come soon. Especially considering Madrid’s fierce competition in attack.

Even so, he’s at such an age that without consistent playing time, the Brazilian striker’s growth could stall. He also risks falling behind in Brazil’s plans for the 2026 World Cup. For that reason, those around him reportedly see a loan as the most realistic short-term solution.

Multiple Suitors Line Up for Endrick

Interest in Endrick’s services has surged across Europe. Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Juventus, and several Premier League sides are believed to be monitoring the situation. However, Real Madrid are said to prefer keeping him in Spain.

This would allow them easier oversight and a smoother adaptation to La Liga. Among domestic options, Real Sociedad have emerged as the leading contender. The Basque side’s record of developing young players appeals strongly to Madrid’s hierarchy.

A Short-Term Exit with Long-Term Goals

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently clarified that Endrick’s focus remains on Madrid. He stated that the forward “is only considering a loan move to get more game time.” A temporary switch, then, could be mutually beneficial. It would give Endrick the minutes he needs while allowing Real Madrid to safeguard one of their most promising investments for the future.
