Tottenham Emerge As Frontrunners To Sign Dusan Vlahovic Ahead of Chelsea and Manchester United

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in pole position to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in the upcoming January transfer window. According to latest reports, Spurs have edged ahead of Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United in the race for the Serbian’s signature. Tottenham currently sit fifth in the Premier League after seven matches, five points behind leaders Arsenal with a game in hand.

Spurs have enjoyed a strong start to the season under the managerial reigns of Thomas Frank. However, their form has been hampered by a lack of a reliable striker. Richarlison has struggled for consistency while Dominic Solanke has been battling fitness issues. The addition of Dusan Vlahovic could provide the cutting edge Tottenham have been missing in the final third.

Dusan Vlahovic “Leaning Towards a Move to Tottenham”

According to former Everton chief Keith Wyness, who shared insights on Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, sources close to the deal suggest that Vlahovic is “leaning towards a move to Spurs.” Wyness noted that Tottenham’s need for an experienced No. 9 makes them an ideal fit for the 25-year-old forward. “Spurs are the team that I’m hearing he’s leaning towards. They’re still missing that kind of striker with real experience, and I think Vlahovic could be the right fit,” Wyness said.

Vlahovic’s future at Juventus remains uncertain, with his current contract expiring at the end of the season. The Italian giants are reportedly keen to offload him in January rather than risk losing him for free next summer. Juventus would be willing to cash in on the 25-year-old in the winter window to avoid losing him for nothing, with his £370,000-a-week salary weighing heavily on the club’s finances.

As a result, it could open the door for Tottenham to negotiate a cut-price deal. With both Chelsea and Manchester United monitoring the situation, Spurs are expected to move quickly to secure a player who could transform their attacking fortunes in 2026. The striker played a key role in Juve’s dramatic 4-4 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
