The road to the matchup has not been easy by any means. Earlier, there were rumors surrounding Du Plessis’s health, as it was reported that he was sidelined due to an injury. However, the South African champ quickly debunked these claims, confirming he is injury-free and is fully prepared to take on Chimaev for the title fight. The two have also been exchanging a lot of words online, with both showcasing a lot of confidence in themselves, as Chimaev claimed that he is “prepping for murder.” to which Du Plessis hilariously responded with, “Wow that’s the first time I’ve heard that one. Shakespeare in the house.”

With Du Plessis ready to go, and Chimaev claiming that he’s “prepping for murder,” this middleweight clash is bound to happen and when it does, it is certainly poised to deliver fireworks across the world.

But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
