Drew McIntyre Injury Update: What Happened to Drew McIntyre

Damian Priest got his hands on Drew McIntyre after last week's brutal beatdown.

Drew McIntyre has been trying to be part of everyone’s story since he returned to WWE. His feud with CM Punk ended at Badblood and that made him leave WWE for a few months owing to brutal injuries and massive blood loss. He returned to WWE and started feuds with Sami Zayn, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso because they helped Roman Reigns at the 2024 Survivor Series.

Drew McIntyre is currently at war with Damian Priest as the latter eliminated him at the 2025 Royal Rumble and the 2025 Elimination Chamber. Drew McIntyre blamed Damian Priest for taking away his WrestleMania dream and his WWE Heavyweight Championship in 2024. He assaulted Damian Priest on back-to-back episodes of Friday Night SmackDown.

What Happened to Drew McIntyre?

Drew McIntyre received a South of Heaven from Damian Priest on the windshield of a car. He was seen with his hand on his right eye and shouting glass in my eye. A report from PWinsider suggested that Drew McIntyre did receive a medical treatment and something was removed from his eyes. It was however not glass. Drew was seen wearing an eyepatch and the medical team checked him again before he left the building.

Damian Priest ambushed Drew McIntyre after he gave an interview to Jackie Redmond and came out of the arena. It was about time that the Archer of Infamy would retaliate for the attack on him. Drew McIntyre tried to retaliate and took him over the hood of the car. The move backfired and Drew McIntyre delivered a brutal South of Heaven to him sending him through the windshield. Drew previously had a match against Randy Orton that he won owing to a distraction from Kevin Owens.

When Will Drew McIntyre be Back?

The injury concern doesn’t seem major and Drew McIntyre might be back before you know it. We might see the Scottish Warrior on the upcoming episode of Friday Night SmackDown getting revenge on Damian Priest. We have a few more matches yet to be announced for WrestleMania and Drew McIntyre vs Damian Priest might be one of them.
