Drew McIntyre Guarantees His Opponent Will Leave on a Stretcher After Saturday Night Main Event

Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest ready to inflict punishment on each other again.

Drew McIntyre and Damian Priest have been intertwined in each other’s stories for over a year. They have not only cost each other title opportunities, but also caused significant mental and physical suffering. It started when Damian Priest cut short Drew McIntyre’s title reign by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania XL. The rivalry lay dormant until Damian Priest eliminated Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble and the Elimination Chamber.

They fought their way to WrestleMania 41, where Drew McIntyre defeated Damian Priest, Claymoring the latter head into a chair. Just when everyone thought their rivalry was over, Damian Priest brutally assaulted Drew McIntyre again. They met in a Fatal Four Way match for the WWE United States Championship. Damian Priest first cost Drew McIntyre the title opportunity and then delivered a South of Heaven to the latter on the concrete.

Drew McIntyre vs. Damian Priest in a Steel Cage Match at Saturday Night Main Event

Drew McIntyre accepted the challenge from Damian Priest for a Steel Cage Match. He claimed Damian Priest is stuck in Drew McIntyre’s vortex for glory and to stay relevant. Drew McIntyre was breathing fire during his promo and stated that he has been trying to get rid of Damian Priest for far too long now. He claimed Damian Priest is jealous, and he would have easily been a Grand Slam Champion if Damian Priest hadn’t been involved.

Drew McIntyre claimed Damian Priest wanted to kill him when he slammed his head on the concrete at Backlash. He stated this has to stop and accepted the challenge. He also guaranteed that only one man would walk out of the cage; the other would leave on a stretcher.

Earlier, Damian Priest challenged Drew McIntyre for a steel cage match at Saturday Night Main Event. Damian Priest claimed that they have been involved in each other’s business and have been sabotaging each other for a long time now. He claimed that a simple match won’t end this cycle. It would require a steel cage to conclude their fight.
