Instead, Anthony Edwards picks the All-Star debutant as the face of the NBA.
Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards kept himself out as the NBA’s poster boy during the discussion with NBA TV. Anthony Edwards is the only player representing the Timberwolves in the All-Star Weekend. The 23-year-old has no intention to become the face of the NBA.
Anthony Edwards sat down with the NBA TV crew for the All-Star Media Day and the two-time All-Star was asked whether or not he wants to be the face of the NBA. The Minnesota guard gave a shocking reply and snubbed himself from the race.

Earlier in the day, Edwards was asked the same question and the Minnesota star showed the same intention. “Not really,” replied Edwards.
Dave McMenamin asked the two-time All-Star why he picked himself out as the face of the NBA. Anthony Edwards picked San Antonio’s Victor Wembanyama as the future face of the league.
That’s what they’ve got Wemby for,” replied Edwards via ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards prefers to stay away from the limelight and always focuses on his game. He doesn’t consider him as the face of the league which is shocking for fans. However, he picked the right guy to take the role of the NBA’s poster boy.
Victor Wembanyama is on the way to becoming a future face of the NBA. The Frenchman will make his All-Star debut on Sunday and he showed a glimpse of his popularity during the NBA Paris Games. The Spurs star is going through the best season of his career.
On the other side, Anthony Edwards is in the elite group of top players in the NBA and it’s his opinion not to want to be the face of the league. Minnesota guard will play for Team Kenny in the NBA All-Star Game, which will be held on Sunday at Chase Center. Wembanyama is part of Team Chuck and will meet Edwards in the semifinal fixture.
