Denmark will aim to build momentum heading into September’s World Cup Qualifiers where they face tough Group C opposition.
Denmark are set to begin their June international window with two friendly fixtures. The friendly matches will be aimed at sharpening their form ahead of a crucial World Cup qualifying campaign in the fall. The Danes will host Northern Ireland in Copenhagen on June 7, followed by a second match against Lithuania in Odense on June 10.
These two fixtures serve as a vital part of new head coach Brian Riemer’s preparations. The former Anderlecht manager took over the national side after Kasper Hjulmand stepped down following Euro 2024 in October. Riemer’s first major test came in the UEFA Nations League quarterfinal, where Denmark pushed Portugal to extra-time across two legs but were ultimately eliminated 5-3 on aggregate.
