Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr Close to €35M Deal for Bayern Munich Star Kingsley Coman

Abhinav Goel

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr are on the verge of completing a blockbuster move for Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman. According to multiple reports, a transfer fee in the region of €30–35 million has been agreed in principle between the two clubs. The Saudi Pro League side is pushing to finalise the deal as they continue to rebuild ahead of the 2025/26 season under new manager Jorge Jesus.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bayern have given the green light to sell Coman this summer, with negotiations now in the final stages. The French international has already agreed personal terms with Al-Nassr, which will see him earn between €20–25 million per year. Notably, the salary that Coman will earn in Saudi Arabia is more than double his current Bayern salary.

Coman joined Bayern Munich in 2015 and has since become one of the club’s most decorated players. In 339 appearances, he has scored 72 goals and provided 71 assists, winning nine Bundesliga titles with the German giants. Coman famously netted the winner in the 2020 UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain.

However, Coman managed only 5 goals and 4 assists in the Bundesliga last season. His playing time diminished significantly under manager Vincent Kompany. Following Bayern’s summer signing of Luis Diaz from Liverpool, the Bundesliga champions are also keen to offload Coman’s €17 million annual salary over the next two years.

Al-Nassr Assembling Deadly Attack

If completed, the transfer would mark one of the Saudi Pro League’s standout moves of the summer and give Al-Nassr yet another world-class attacking option heading into the new campaign. The move for Coman follows Al-Nassr’s recent signing of Joao Felix, as the club looks to assemble a formidable front line alongside Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.

Following recent failures, the Saudi outfit is determined to dominate both domestically and in continental competitions. Coman’s pace, dribbling and big-match pedigree are seen as vital assets in building a title-winning side.
