Cooper Kupp Top Landing Spots If The Rams WR Decides To Leave!

Eric Divakaran

Cooper Kupp, wide receiver for the Rams, is one of the best at his position when healthy. He’s the winner of Superbowl LVI and has received multiple awards for his stellar play so far. He registered 710 receiving yards, 67 receptions, 6 receiving touchdowns, in 12 games that he played this year. Kupp played his best football in 2021, where he helped the Rams win the Superbowl and won the Superbowl MVP in the same.

In 2021, he also had his best season statistically with 145 receptions, 1947 receiving yards, 16 receiving touchdowns, and played all 17 games. Kupp had one of the best seasons a wide receiver can have.

However, he hasn’t been the same since. Kupp has struggled to stay healthy after winning the Superbowl. He only played in 9 games in the 2022 season, and 12 games each in the 2023 and 2024 season. His ankle, particularly, has bothered him a lot and that is the worst injury a receiver can get. Also, the emergence of other Rams’ receivers such as Puka Nacua has also contributed to a shift in target distribution.

Kupp is a shell of his former self and trade looks very likely. It may also make more sense of Kupp to leave as the Rams may have found other talented receiver as well. This means, decreased touches and less plays called for Kupp. If he does decide to leave the team, where may Kupp play? There are some potential teams that would love Kupp’s services. Let’s discuss further.

Cooper Kupp’s Top Landing Spots

Here are the top landing spots if the Rams wideout Cooper Kupp decides to make a move!

Cincinnati Bengals

It would make a lot of sense for Kupp to choose the Bengals, if winning it all again, is his priority. He can serve as the backup to Ja’Marr Chase as the Bengals, currently constructed, lack depth in their lineup. Added Kupp would make the Bengals a whole lot better and Kupp himself could see himself winning his second Superbowl title.

Houston Texans

Considering how Houston’s entire offense revolves around C.J. Stroud’s passing game, adding Kupp to the mix is a no-brainer. Their key receivers are currently injured which hurt their chances, significantly, in the playoffs. Having Kupp would benefit both sides as Kupp would get a lot of touches and Houston will have a much better chance if Diggs or Dell get hurt again.

Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys should definitely be included in this list as their only reliable option is CeeDee Lamb. Their bench unit, in terms of receivers, are either injured or have been heavily inconsistent. Adding a reliable receiver like Kupp would take a lot of pressure of off Lamb and they could be way better than they currently are.

Los Angeles Chargers

To be blunt, the LA Chargers had one of the worst receiving units in the entire league this season. Justin Herbert needs help and I mean, seriously and immediately. There is no way that the Chargers have a potential superstar quarterback and have not yet given him the roster that he desperately needs. Trading for Kupp, if available, should be one of the first moves they should make in the off-season.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers need to add room for a receiver if they can. They are doing fine with what they currently have in George Pickens. However, adding Kupp would definitely help them as they could use more fire power from the bench when needed.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Buccaneers are heavily reliant on Mike Evans and Chris Goodwin. If these two were to get hurt, if would hurt the Buccaneers significantly. Adding Kupp can take the pressure off the two and add more depth to their roster.

Most teams require depth to their roster and adding a name like Kupp would benefit all the parties. However, as mentioned earlier, out of all these teams, the Chargers need Kupp’s or services the most. Justin Herbert has carried this Chargers offense of the entirety of the 2024 season.

Now that the off-season has started for them, adding Kupp (if available) should be priority number one.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
