Duke faces Louisville in the ACC tournament Finals.
Duke Blue Devils suffered a major injury scare in their ACC quarter-finals clash against Georgia Tech. The star freshman, Cooper Flagg suffered an ankle injury which ruled him out for the remainder of the game. The ACC Player of the year was seen on a wheelchair after the injury, heading out for further tests.

However, Duke registered a win in their quarter-finals, setting up a match with arch-rivals North Carolina in the ACC semi-final. Despite missing Flagg, the Blue Devils won a close match against North Carolina to set a ACC Finals clash with Louisville. The game which was set to go to OT until the final moments, a fatal mistake by UNC’s Jae’Lyn Withers turned the tide in favor of Duke as they emerged victorious by 74-71.

The Blue Devils coach, Jon Scheyer has already hinted that Cooper Flagg will not feature in the ACC tournament final match against Louisville. The coach also shared that the X-rays are negative and Flagg might have a shot at playing at the 2025 March Madness.
“It’s not about being ready to go tomorrow,” Scheyer said. “That’s not the most important thing for us. We’ve got to see if we can get him right for this run that we can make in the [NCAA] tournament.”

In an earlier regular season matchup, Duke dominated Louisville and emerged victorious by 76-65. Flagg ended the game with 20 points, 12 rebounds, one assist and two steals in the game. Despite Flagg being ruled out for the game, the Blue Devils are favored to win the game against the Cardinals and clinch an automatic bid for the NCAA tournament.
