Concacaf Gold Cup 2025 Draw Announced – Who Faces Whom in the 2025 Edition?

Mexico enter the 2025 tournament as defending champions, having edged past Panama 1-0 in the 2023 final.

Concacaf has officially conducted the draw for the 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup, the 18th edition of the tournament. The competition will take place from June 14 to July 6, with matches spread across 14 stadiums in 11 cities across the U.S. and Canada. The draw was held in Miami, Florida on Thursday.

The 2025 Concacaf Gold Cup will feature 16 national teams – 15 top sides from the Concacaf region who qualified through the latest Nations League and Gold Cup Prelims, along with one invited guest, Saudi Arabia. The tournament begins with the group stage. After the round-robin matches, the top two teams from each group will move on to the knockout stage.

Concacaf’s Chief Football Competitions Officer, Carlos Fernandez, conducted the draw, with help from former Gold Cup winners Dwayne De Rosario (Canada), Jorge Campos (Mexico), Marcelo Balboa (USA), and Panama’s Blas Perez.

The four groups are as follows:

Group A: Mexico, Costa Rica, Suriname, Dominican Republic
Group B: Canada, Honduras, El Salvador, Curacao
Group C: Panama, Jamaica, Guatemala, Guadeloupe
Group D: United States, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Saudi Arabia

Mauricio Pochettino’s USA have been drawn in Group D, where they’ll face Haiti, Trinidad & Tobago, and guest nation Saudi Arabia. The United States will be aiming to bounce back after falling short in the 2023 semifinals and suffering elimination from the Concacaf Nations League earlier this March.

Canada have been paired with Honduras, El Salvador, and Curaçao in what looks to be a manageable Group B. Mexico also received a favorable draw, landing in Group A alongside Suriname, the Dominican Republic, and Costa Rica.
