WWE Elimination Chamber lived up the hype it created. The mega event had it all, from brutal unsanctioned matches to superstars turning heels. Bianca Belair rose above all odds and won the Women’s Elimination Chamber. Kevin Owens defeated Sami Zayn in an intense match that crossed the limits of brutality. John Cena won the Men’s Elimination Chamber what followed screwed everyone’s mind.

Cody Rhodes entered the ring and had a moment with John Cena where they both hugged each other. The Rock entered next and asked Cody about his decision on whether he would surrender his soul and mind to the Final Boss. Cody refused to surrender his soul and dropped an F-bomb on the Rock.

What happened to Cody Rhodes?

Cody Rhodes was busted open when John Cena hit him with the Undisputed Championship twice on his head. Cody Rhodes also suffered a busted eardrum and blackened eye from Travis Scott’s slap. He was bleeding all over his head. The Final Boss beat Cody with his custom-made belt with Cody’s Soul imprinted on it. Cena performed a brutal assault on Cody Rhodes and The Rock, and Travis Scott joined him.

His injuries were mental, and the wound he received on his heart might not be visible as he idealised John Cena. John Cena shook Cody’s hand when he refused to surrender his soul, stating that his soul belonged to his fans. What followed broke numerous hearts as everybody saw their favorite legend John Cena turn heel. This came right after the arena saw the legend win the Elimination Chamber.

When will Cody Rhodes be back?

The officials have yet to make a statement on Cody’s injury, but his wounds were apparent during the closing moments of the 2025 Elimination Chamber. Cody Rhodes’s injuries were brutal but not so much to keep him out of WWE for long. We might see the American Nightmare addressing the crowd on upcoming Raw or SmackDown.
