CM Punk hints at entering the WWE Championship match, did he invoke the favor from Paul Heyman?

CM Punk is one of the most celebrated superstars of wrestling history. The legend has an immense fanbase that sings “Cult of Personality” when he enters the ring. He is loved by fans all across the globe but not by WWE wrestlers. He wasn’t welcomed to WWE and has been fighting for his dream ever since. His feud with Drew McIntyre might have ended at Bad Blood but his scores with Seth Rollins are far from settled.

CM Punk has had only one dream of being a main event at WrestleMania but every time he is in touching distance, someone pulls him down. This has been the case ever since he returned to WWE. He entered the 2025 Royal Rumble and eliminated Seth Rollins and Roman Reign but Logan Paul eliminated him and his dream took a big hit.

He entered the Elimination Chamber after defeating Sami Zayn and eliminated his arch-rival Seth Rollins from the Chamber. Just when he thought, it was between him and John Cena now, an eliminated Seth Rollins delivered a stomp to him before leaving the chamber. John Cena held CM Punk in an STF and the latter fainted. The referee announced John Cena as the winner by TKO and CM Punk’s dream was shattered.

CM Punk won’t give up on his dream, hints at entering the Championship match

CM Punk has always been known for his never-give-up attitude and it was apparent when he hinted towards entering the championship match one way or the other. He stated that he is eager to read the contract to check whether it fulfills his wish to be part of the championship match or if it is just a rug pull from the authority. He also reminded everyone that he had a favor to ask from Paul Heyman.

He claimed that he was unhappy and didn’t sleep due to the uncertainty surrounding him and his road to Wrestlemania. He claimed that he wasn’t getting what he wanted. He wanted to win the Royal Rumble turned into his need to win the Elimination Chamber to main event WrestleMania. He last competed in a steel cage match against Seth Rollins when Roman Reign returned from his injury.

Just when he thought, Seth Rollins was his only mortal enemy in WWE, Roman Reigns entered the picture. These three are now arch nemesis to one another. These highly combustible elements are bound blow each other when kept in close proximity. They fought their way to get a triple-threat match at Wrestlemania. CM Punk wants to use this match as a way to enter the championship match.
