WWE SmackDown: CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns to clash in a Triple Threat at WrestleMania, We Feel A Storm’s brewing!

CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns will lock horns in a triple threat at WrestleMania.

WWE is driving into uncertain terrain on the Road to WrestleMania. With less than a month remaining for WrestleMania, we now have John Cena and Cody Rhodes as the main event for the Undisputed Championship. The Royal Rumble winner, Jey Uso will face Gunther for the WWE Heavyweight Championship. Randy Orton got a match against Kevin Owens.

In all these certain matches of Men’s roster lies the uncertainty about the other matches that are yet to be revealed. The most wanted yet unpredictable match of them all was between Seth Rollins, CM Punk, and Roman Reigns. Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, and CM Punk have always had issues with each other. Roman Reigns and CM Punk formed a temporary alliance for the 2024 Survivor Series but that lasted for one match only.

Three legends of WWE inside one ring, bound to collide in a triple threat at WrestleMania

Roman Reigns entered the ring and was acknowledged by every person in the arena. He cleared the air about the attack on CM Punk and Seth Rollins. He claimed CM Punk screwed him at the Royal Rumble and Seth Rollins tried to kill him which is why, he screwed CM Punk and tried to kill Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins entered and blamed Roman Reign for not letting him finish CM Punk.

Seth Rollins claimed that there is no Roman Reigns without him and vice versa but both can’t coexist in the same space and time. He wanted to start a brawl and add a new chapter to their story when CM Punk entered among the loudest cheers from fans. CM Punk mocked Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins stating neither of them had beaten him without the other one’s help because you can’t.

CM Punk turned his attention to Roman Reigns stating he never screwed him as it was every man for himself at Royal Rumble. He claimed that Roman was only able to participate because the former saved him at the 2024 Survivor Series. He reminded Paul Heyman that he owed a favor but refused to ask for it right now but thanked him for delivering the OTC on a silver platter.

A brawl between three superstars started and the officials had to intervene. In the words of Wade Barrett, these were the three combustible elements together in the ring. They kept fighting even after the SmackDown went off the air. They are now scheduled to face each other in a triple threat at WrestleMania.

What started at the Netflix Premiere on Raw reignited at the 2025 Royal Rumble.

The Brawl between CM Punk and Seth Rollins turned into a fight and it took place at the Netflix Premiere of Raw. CM Punk and Seth Rollins fought in the most brutal match and CM Punk emerged victorious. This didn’t end here as Seth Rollins vowed to end CM Punk’s WrestleMania Main Event dream after losing. These two met at the 2025 Royal Rumble again and Roman Reigns joined them.

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were trying to eliminate each other when CM Punk took advantage and eliminated both of them. Logan Paul eliminated CM Punk next and a brawl between them broke out outside the ring. Seth Rollins delivered two stomps to Roman Reigns, one on the floor and the other on the steel steps. This injured Roman Reigns and kept him out of WWE for a while.

The fire within turned into Conflagration at the Elimination Chamber

CM Punk and Seth Rollins met again at the Elimination Chamber where the former eliminated Seth Rollins with the help of John Cena. Seth Rollins again didn’t take the loss kindly and delivered a stomp to CM Punk outside the chamber. This helped John Cena take advantage and claim victory over CM Punk by TKO. Seth Rollins made sure that CM Punk’s dream of maineventing WrestleMania was all but over.

CM Punk however is known for not giving up as he called out The Rock, John Cena, and Seth Rollins on the next Raw. Seth Rollins came out and the two started assaulting each other. The brawl was so intense that even the officials were unable to separate them. Adam Pearce announced that both would fight in a steel cage match to close this chapter once and for all. However, if it were that easy, it would have been resolved long ago.

Roman Reigns’ return to WWE brings more chaos than order

Seth Rollins and CM Punk both entered the steel cage intending to punish each other. Both were on the verge of winning the match but neither of them wanted to give the other an easy escape. The match would not have ended if Roman Reigns had not pulled Seth Rollins out, as neither of them was trying to come out of the ring. This gave victory to Seth Rollins but also started a retaliation for the Royal Rumble assault.

Roman Reigns delivered a Superman Punch to Seth Rollins followed by a Spear and a Stomp for incurring assault on Roman Reigns at the Rumble. The OTC turned his attention towards CM Punk who was still inside the ring and delivered a vicious spear. It seemed that CM Punk whispering something in Paul Heyman’s ears didn’t go well with Roman Reigns.

All three of them will now be wrestling in a triple threat at WrestleMania. What would unfollow? Who will win? Will Paul Heyman reveal the favor CM Punk asked for? Time will tell
