CM Punk had a Good News and a Bad News for Cody Rhodes, Predicted WrestleMania Main Event and it’s Result

Cody Rhodes and CM Punk want to face each other at WrestleMania Main Event for the WWE Undisputed Championship.

Royal Rumble is just a few days away and the internet is filled with speculation of its winner. The speculations are not limited to the fans as WWE superstars are also claiming about the Royal Rumble Winner. The winner of the Rumble will become the #1 contender for the title of his choice. He will get his title match at WrestleMania.

Fifteen men have announced themselves for the 30-Men Royal Rumble, including legends like John Cena, Rey Mysterio, and CM Punk. Ten are from Raw’s Men roster and four are from SmackDown roster. Ten women have also announced entry to the Royal Rumble, six from Raw and four from SmackDown.

CM Punk gave Good News to Cody Rhodes

CM Punk and Cody Rhodes shared an intense promo on RAW. It all started when the “American Nightmare” was acknowledging his home crowd and CM Punk interrupted it. What seemed like a friendly chat in the beginning soon turned into a verbal altercation. CM Punk asked Cody if he was alright and if the demands of being a WWE Undisputed Champion were weighing on him.

CM Punk shared his experience of being a champion and told Cody that he lost friends and became someone he would never want to be. He told Cody that he is his true friend, unlike everybody that has surrounded him. It’s because he promised his father and he loves Cody. He informed Cody that a WWE Champion always has a target on his back.

Cody asked CM Punk to predict what’s next for him. CM Punk started by stating he was not gonna sleep tonight. He would think about his match with Kevin Owen at the Royal Rumble and if he went past him, he would have to face the winner of the Rumble. He claimed that Cody would be on his way down after the Rumble while the Rumble winner would be on his way up. CM Punk claimed the good news if the Royal Rumble winner would take that title from Cody at Wrestlemania Main Event.

CM Punk told Cody a True Friend stabs you from the front

Cody after hearing the good news asked the Best in the World to tell him the bad news. CM Punk told American Nightmare that, unlike all his friends who have stabbed him in his back, he would stab Cody from the front by winning the Rumble and taking the title from him at WrestleMania Main Event.

Cody appreciated CM Punk telling him that and responded that the dynamics of professional wrestling have flipped on its head. Cody said that he was chasing “Best in the World” CM Punk when he started his career but now CM Punk is chasing him. He told CM Punk that he as a friend wants CM Punk to win the Rumble and Main Event WrestleMania because he wants Punk to catch up to him.

The spat didn’t end there as CM Punk claimed that there is a graveyard of careers who wanted CM Punk to catch up until he finally did. Cody ended the promo by stating he wanted CM Punk to win the Royal Rumble and Main Event WrestleMania with him. He wants to see the look on Punk’s face after the latter finds out that the Best in the World isn’t Best in the World anymore.
