Red Bull Racing and Christian Horner to part ways with immediate effect

The Formula 1 paddock is going through a shocking new announcement. Red Bull Racing has released a statement regarding Christian Horner. The team is going to part ways with their team principal with immediate effect. Christian Horner and Red Bull Racing recently finished the British Grand Prix together where Max Verstappen had a crucial loss starting from pole position. Red Bull Racing have not released any news about the reasons which might have led to his departure.

Christian Horner had a contract with Red Bull Racing until the end of 2030 Formula 1 season. He was in rumours recently for regarding a move to Ferrari Formula 1 team. However, Horner made it clear that his loyalties lie with Red Bull Racing. Christian Horner has been spearheading Red Bull Racing and their operations since their debut in 2005. He was arguably one of the longest serving team principals in history of Formula 1.

Red Bull CEO, Mark Mateschitz recently visited the team during the Austrian Grand Prix. Unfortunately, both Red Bulls cars couldn’t claim any points in their home race. The most probable cause of his replacement points towards Red Bull Racing’s failure in the 2025 championship.

What Will Happen to Red Bull Racing After Christian Horner Got Sacked?

Christian Horner was among the key figures of Red Bull Racing. The team was a closely knit unit brought together by Horner. Readers should know that Adrian Newey joined Red Bull Racing due to Christian Horner’s words.

In other words, the team is in a big jeopardy currently. Horner and his exit from Red Bull Racing can create a domino effect for many other employees leaving the team.

The biggest exit which is probable now is that of Max Verstappen. The four-time champion was already having one of his worst Formula 1 seasons in 2025. There were talks about him moving to Mercedes after Toto Wolff’s persistent efforts. With Horner gone, Red Bull Racing are on the cusp of losing their star driver.

Red Bull Racing is a one man team currently. They won’t be able to make a comeback in Formula 1 for the upcoming seasons if they lose Max Verstappen.
