Brazil head into their October international friendlies with confidence. They’ve already booked their place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Selecao, now under Carlo Ancelotti’s leadership, continue their preparations with back-to-back fixtures against South Korea and Japan.
These matches will serve as crucial tests for squad balance and tactical refinement ahead of next year’s tournament in North America. Since taking over in May 2025, Ancelotti has managed four matches for Brazil. He has won twice, drawn once, and suffered a narrow defeat to Bolivia in their final qualifier.

With qualification secured, Ancelotti is expected to experiment with combinations. Hence, he could give younger players an opportunity to impress. The upcoming games in Seoul and Tokyo mark Brazil’s third and fourth fixtures under Ancelotti in non-competitive settings.
Here are the fixture for Brazil men’s football team’s next few matches –
| Matches | Date | Time (ET) | Venue |
| South Korea vs Brazil | Friday, 10 October | 7:00 AM | Seoul World Cup Stadium, Seoul, South Korea |
| Japan vs Brazil | Tuesday, 14 October | 6:30 AM | Ajinomoto Stadium, Tokyo, Japan |
The Brazil team is facing a few injury setbacks. Liverpool’s Alisson Becker, who has started every game under Ancelotti, is set to miss out due to an injury. The goalkeeper sustained the injury in a Champions League clash against Galatasaray. Neymar, currently with Santos, is also sidelined by a thigh issue.
However, on a brighter side, Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior returns to the fold after serving a suspension during the September break. The latest squad features a strong Premier League presence. 11 players from English clubs have made the list. Tottenham’s Richarlison and Nottingham Forest forward Igor Jesus have both been named.
Meanwhile, Casemiro, Bruno Guimaraes, and Douglas Luiz are expected to anchor the midfield. Roma defender Wesley and Inter’s Carlos Augusto are the only Serie A representatives in the 26-man squad. Ancelotti is looking to find the right balance ahead of the World Cup. Hence, he has been trying to blend Europe’s rising Brazilian talents with established international stars .
