Amanda Anisimova vs. Madison Keys Preview, Prediction, and Betting Odds for WTA Finals 2025

Anisimova eyes control, Keys hunts momentum in power-packed WTA Finals clash

World No. 4 Amanda Anisimova is set to face world No. 7 Madison Keys at the 2025 WTA Finals. Earlier in the group stage, Anisimova defeated No. 6 Elena Rybakina, while Keys was ousted by No. 2 Iga Swiatek. Anisimova has delivered a strong yet turbulent season marked by impressive highs and occasional injury setbacks. Returning from her 2023 mental health break, she managed a heavy schedule with remarkable resilience. The American lifted titles in Doha and Beijing and made finals in London, Wimbledon, and the US Open.

She also notched several deep runs but was forced to withdraw from Singapore and Wuhan due to calf and minor injuries and retired mid-match in Hobart, Charleston, and Paris (125K) with back issues. Across 59 matches, Anisimova has struck 206 aces, winning 66.1% of first serves, 45.6% of return points, and converting 45.3% of break points.

Keys, meanwhile, has had an uneven yet explosive season filled with notable wins. She opened with a quarterfinal run in Adelaide before capturing back-to-back titles in Adelaide and Melbourne, defeating Jessica Pegula and Aryna Sabalenka in those finals. Keys reached the semifinals in Indian Wells and London, alongside quarterfinal showings in Madrid, Roland Garros, and Montreal. However, her campaign was hampered by recurring hamstring and shoulder issues, forcing withdrawals from multiple events, including Doha, Dubai, and Beijing. In 51 matches, Keys has fired 219 aces, winning 67.8% of first serves, 44.3% of return points, and converting 42.9% of break points.

Both Americans bring contrasting strengths. If Keys redlines her serve and forehand, she can trouble the favorite, but Anisimova’s shot tolerance and court craft should prevail.

My journey into sports media began far from the field, rooted in the arts and sciences. Funny enough, I didn’t grow up a sports fan; I used to see it all as just noise. But a fateful writing job introduced me to the world of sports, and what began as a gig quickly became a passion. I understood those voices aren’t noise; they’re emotions of true sports fans, and now I am one of them, writing with the same energy I once questioned.
