Vladislav Goldin
Vladislav Goldin is an emerging professional basketball player who currently plays as a center for the Miami Heat in the NBA. Born on May 12, 2001, in Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia, Goldin stands at an impressive 2.13 m (7 ft 0 in) and weighs 113 kg (250 lbs). His basketball journey took him from his hometown in Russia to the United States, where he attended Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Connecticut, for high school.
Goldin’s collegiate career was a significant stepping stone in his development, showcasing his skills across various NCAA Division I programs. He began his college tenure with the Texas Tech Red Raiders in the 2020–2021 season, playing in ten games and averaging 1.9 points and one rebound per game. Following his freshman year, he entered the NCAA transfer portal and subsequently transferred to Florida Atlantic University. At Florida Atlantic, Goldin’s performance saw a notable improvement. He played for three seasons (2021–2024), during which he earned two-time all-conference honors, including a Second-Team All-AAC selection in 2024 and a Third-Team All-CUSA selection in 2023. His final season with Florida Atlantic in 2023–2024 saw him average 15.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks per game. For the 2024–2025 season, Goldin transferred to the University of Michigan, where he continued to excel, leading the team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks. His outstanding performance at Michigan earned him a First-Team All-Big Ten selection and the Big Ten Tournament MVP award in 2025. Throughout his entire collegiate career, Goldin played in 154 games, starting in 143 of them, and graduated with a degree in Sports Management.
The 2025 NBA Draft was a pivotal moment for Goldin. Although he went undrafted, his strong collegiate career and physical attributes quickly garnered attention from NBA teams. On June 26, 2025, Goldin signed a two-way contract with the Miami Heat. This signing marked his official entry into the NBA, with the opportunity to play for both the Miami Heat and their G-League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce. His addition to the Heat’s roster reflects the team’s strategic move to incorporate more size and a modern playing style, addressing a past trend of being one of the smaller teams in the league.
