CM Punk All Set to Appear on WWE SmackDown After Getting Insulted on Monday Night Raw, AJ Lee’s Return Speculated

CM Punk is set to make his return on Friday Night SmackDown in his hometown of Chicago. CM Punk left Monday Night Raw fuming after he didn’t get his hands on Seth Rollins. To make things worse, Becky Lynch slapped her multiple times. CM Punk could only threaten her that she is gonna regret laying her hands on him.

CM Punk asked Adam Pearce about Seth Rollins and then asked about the location of SmackDown. Adam Pearce, revealing Chicago as the location for SmackDown, painted a smile on CM Punk’s face, suggesting he has planned something big. What will that be?

Is WWE Planning the Return of AJ Lee?

WWE has never shied away from the question about the return of AJ Lee, and if they needed the right moment, tonight can be it. After Seth Rollins sent his wife on Raw to confront CM Punk, and she laid hands on her, it can be AJ Lee’s turn to seek her husband’s revenge. This is, however, not the first time AJ Lee’s return to WWE has been speculated.

CM Punk warned Becky Lynch that she would regret laying hands on him, but he himself won’t hit her. He will need a female wrestler to seek her revenge, and who better to get his revenge than his wife? What fuels the speculation is that SmackDown is airing from CM Punk’s hometown, Chicago.

The only other female wrestler who can help CM Punk exact his revenge on Becky Lynch is Nikki Bella. Nikki Bella has a history with Becky Lynch, and both recently collided at Clash in Paris. While Nikki Bella dominated the match, Becky Lynch stole the victory not only from her but from CM Punk later that night. With both CM Punk and Nikki Bella having the same motto, they might join hands to go against Vision.

A Peek Into CM Punk and Seth Rollins’ Rivalry

The rivalry between CM Punk and Seth Rollins is not new, but the latter has always found a way to hurt the Best in the World in the worst way possible. Seth Rollins made sure CM Punk’s title reign for the World Heavyweight Championship could only last 5 minutes. He cashed in his MITB contract on him to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.

CM Punk met Seth Rollins again, this time in a Fatal Four-way at Clash in Paris, a match that featured Jey Uso and LA Knight as well. CM Punk was just a GTS away from a sure-shot win when Becky Lynch delivered a low blow to him and helped her husband retain his title. This is, however, not the first time that Seth Rollins has cost CM Punk. Elimination Chamber and WrestleMania are the other prime examples.
