With Palace potentially fatigued after a physically draining cup final, Vitor Pereira’s Wolves would look to exploit any lapse in intensity.
Fresh from lifting their first-ever major trophy, Crystal Palace return to Premier League action on Tuesday night. The Eagles host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Selhurst Park in their penultimate game of the 2024–25 campaign. After their dramatic 1-0 FA Cup final win over Manchester City at Wembley on Saturday, this midweek clash will be Palace’s final home fixture of the season.
The Eagles have enjoyed a superb run under Oliver Glasner, going unbeaten in their last six matches across all competitions. They have climbed up to 12th in the table with 49 points. While Tuesday’s game may appear secondary following their cup heroics, Palace will be keen to maintain momentum and end the season on a high.
Wolves, on the other hand, have stuttered in recent weeks. They arrive in South London on the back of consecutive defeats to Manchester City and Brighton. They currently sit 14th with 41 points. Still, Wolves may view this as an opportunity. With Palace potentially fatigued after a physically draining cup final, Vitor Pereira’s side would look to exploit any lapse in intensity.

Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner is likely to shuffle his starting lineup for Tuesday’s Premier League clash. after their FA Cup final victory over Manchester City. In defence, there are lingering concerns over Marc Guehi, which could prompt a reshuffle. As a result, midfielder Jefferson Lerma may be asked to drop into the backline.

Midfielder Cheick Doucoure is ruled out while Adam Wharton is also a fitness doubt, Will Hughes could line up alongside Daichi Kamada in the midfield pivot, offering fresh legs in the middle of the park. In attack, key players like Eberechi Eze and Jean-Philippe Mateta may be rested, opening the door for former Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah to lead the line.

Wolverhampton Wanderers head into Tuesday’s clash with a growing injury list. Sam Johnstone and Yerson Mosquera remain sidelined, which could lead to Matt Doherty, Emmanuel Agbadou, and Toti Gomes forming the backline in front of Jose Sa.
Further up the pitch, Wolves are still without a number of attacking options. Enso Gonzalez, Leon Chiwome, Sasa Kalajdzic, and Hwang Hee-Chan are all nursing injuries. While Hwang will be assessed ahead of kick-off, he remains a doubt and is unlikely to be risked.
