Khris Middleton
James Khristian “Khris” Middleton was born on August 12, 1991, in Charleston, South Carolina. He attended Porter-Gaud School in Charleston, where he excelled in basketball. He was a highly rated prospect and committed to playing college basketball at Texas A&M University. Middleton played three seasons for the Texas A&M Aggies. In his freshman year (2009-2010), he played in all 34 games, averaging 7.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game. His sophomore season (2010-2011) saw him emerge as a key player, averaging 14.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game, earning him Second Team All-Big 12 honors. In his junior year (2011-2012), his numbers dipped slightly due to injury, but he still averaged 13.2 points and 5.0 rebounds. After his junior season, Middleton decided to declare for the NBA Draft. Khris Middleton was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the 39th overall pick in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft. He played sparingly in his rookie season, appearing in only 27 games and averaging 6.1 points. On July 31, 2013, he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks along with Brandon Knight and Viacheslav Kravtsov in exchange for Brandon Jennings. This trade proved to be a pivotal moment in his career.
