Oleksandr Usyk Reveals Who Punched Him The Hardest And It’s Not Daniel Dubois Or Tyson Fury!!

Undefeated Oleksandr Usyk Names the Surprising Opponent Behind His Toughest Hit

Boxing fans often debate who has the heaviest hands in the sport. They discuss knockout percentages and highlight reels. They argue over which fighters make opponents think twice before engaging. But sometimes the answers to these questions come from the fighters themselves, like in the case of Oleksandr Usyk, the unified heavyweight champion who has faced some of the most fearsome punchers in boxing today.

Usyk has stood across the ring from Anthony Joshua twice. He has gone the distance with Tyson Fury in two closely contested battles. He has taken shots from Derek Chisora and Tony Bellew. Even Daniel Dubois landed what many consider a controversial blow in their first encounter. Yet when asked recently about the hardest punch he has ever received, Usyk’s answer left everyone speechless, including the host Piers Morgan.

The Unexpected Contender With The Hardest Punch

During a recent interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, Usyk was discussing his upcoming July rematch with Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium. The conversation inevitably turned to their controversial first fight from August 2023. That match ended with Usyk stopping Dubois in the ninth round, but not before the British fighter landed a punch that divided the boxing world. Some called it a clear low blow. Others insisted it was a legitimate body shot.

Morgan asked if that punch from Dubois was the hardest Usyk had ever faced. The Ukrainian champion began to answer, “It was a hard punch,” but then stunned everyone with a plot twist. The hardest hit Oleksandr Usyk ever received wasn’t delivered by Dubois, Fury, or Joshua. It came from a horse!

“When I was young I took a punch from a horse. I worked on a farm. I go, ‘Hey, get it out, get it out,’ Boom, its legs caught me.”

While Usyk’s horse encounter provided a moment of levity, the controversy surrounding his first fight with Dubois remains serious business. Their upcoming July rematch has brought the disputed “low blow” incident back into focus. The disagreement has sparked tense moments during their promotional tour.

Dubois, for his part, sees the rematch as a chance for redemption. Usyk, who now holds the WBA, WBC, and WBO heavyweight titles after defeating Tyson Fury twice last year, seems ready to move forward. The rematch promises to be one of boxing’s biggest events this summer, with fans eager to see if Dubois can back up his claims or if Usyk will once again prove why he is considered one of the sport’s most skilled champions. And thankfully for Usyk, horses aren’t allowed in the boxing ring!
