Starting Saturday night, the NBA Playoffs will tip off with the coveted NBA championship in sight. But for the players, there’s also the Finals MVP title, which carries a special significance.
This award will crown a perfect season for whoever claims it at the end of the NBA Finals.
In the running for the regular season MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is also the favorite—along with his team—for the Finals MVP title.
Of course, a lot can change along the way, and the odds for the NBA Finals MVP will likely fluctuate throughout the Playoffs.
Here are the odds for the 2025 NBA Finals MVP.
SGA is therefore the favorite to win this title, but he is closely followed by other Eastern Conference players such as Jayson Tatum and Donovan Mitchell.
Indeed, the Cavaliers and the Celtics are the favorites in the East to reach the NBA Finals next June. A matchup against SGA currently appears to be the most likely scenario for those Finals.
Unless Luka Dončić and the Lakers pull off a surprise and emerge victorious in the West for another NBA Finals appearance. Since his arrival, Luka Dončić has carried the franchise on his shoulders and would be, in the event of a title, a legitimate contender for the Finals MVP.
