The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has developed an eventful night for their fans with their UFC 314: Volkanovski vs Lopes event on April 12, 2024. Nikita “The Miner” Krylov faced off against Dominick “The Devastator” Reyes in a Light Heavyweight contest in the opener fight of the main card.

Both these above mentioned MMA fighters are veterans in their own careers. Notably, Nikita Krylov is in his second stint with UFC since he returned to the promotion in 2018. On the other hand, Dominick Reyes has become “The Devastator” in UFC due to his performances over the years. The fight ended with a spectacular knock out when Dominick Reyes landed a devastating straight left on Nikita Krylov in the first round!

Nikita Krylov’s MMA Journey 

Nikita “The Miner” Krylov is enjoying his second tenure at UFC after his return to the promotion. Originally from Donetsk, Ukraine, he started his MMA journey in Ukraine before joining the UFC and completed his first tenure from 2013 to 2017. Following his release from the promotion, he joined Fight Nights Global. He had a good career and even became the FNG Light Heavyweight Champion for the promotion in May 2018. 

However, “The Miner” made his return to the UFC for the second time in September 2018 and has since then has become one of the veteran members of the Light Heavyweight division. He is presently 38 in the division along with a 30-10-0 record in his career. His 30 wins so far consists of 12 wins by KO/TKO and 16 wins via submission.

Dominick Reyes’ MMA Journey

Dominick “The Devastator” Reyes comes from Victorville, California, United States and is is notable for being a former college football player for the Stony Brook Seawolves football team. He started his MMA career with UFC, where his first opponent was Joachim Christensen at UFC Fight Night: Chiesa vs Lee, which he won via KO/TKO through punches and earned Performance of the Night honors as a newcomer.

Dominick Reyes have enjoyed six straight wins along with two Performance of the Night honors since his UFC debut. He presently finds himself on a two-fight winning streak along with sitting at #11 in the UFC Light Heavyweight Division. He also got a record of 15-4-0. He won 10 fights by KO/TKO, 2 by submission and 3 by decision, which accounts all of his fifteen wins so far.
