Week 8 Sunday Night Football: Top 6 Games To Watch Out For

The NFL Schedule this weekend looks packed with thrilling encounters. Be it Tua Tagovailoa coming back to the Dolphins, or Jameis Winston starting in place of injured DeShaun Watson, there is plenty of buzz around the Week 8 Sunday Night Football games.

Week 8 Sunday Night Football games will feature the only undefeated team this season, the Kansas City Chiefs (6-0). Dan Campbell and the Detroit Lions are back in action too, and so are Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens. There will be 14 NFL games this weekend, with 28 teams in action.

Out of the 14 NFL games, we bring you the top 6 games that you should definitely watch out for.

Philadelphia Eagles @ Cincinnati Bengals

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cincinnati Bengals is going to be one of the 7 games scheduled to open Week 8 Sunday Night Football. The Bengals are 3-4 with a 2-game win streak. They have lost some close games this season against the Chiefs, the Commanders and the Ravens. But Joe Burrow and co. have a task at their hand, given the Eagles are looking in good touch with a 4-2 record.

The trio of Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and A. J. Brown will have to bring their A-Game to see off the Bengals defense. Through 7 games, Joe Burrow already has a 70.4 pass completion percentage with 1,759 yards for 14 touchdowns. We expect this one to be a high scoring affair.

Eagles vs. Bengals Location: Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, Ohio

Baltimore Ravens @ Cleveland Browns

Lamar Jackson powered Ravens are coming to this game with a 5-game win streak, after starting the season 0-2. Jackson consolidated his position as the season MVP by throwing a 5 touchdown game against Tampa Bay. With Derrick Henry, Andrews, Bateman and Justice Hill by his side, this Ravens side looks quite unstoppable.

As for the Browns (1-6), things haven’t been good, at all. They find themselves on a 5-game losing streak. And with DeShaun Watson out for the rest of the season, Browns would be hoping for a turnaround of faith with new starting QB Jameis Winston. If beginner’s luck doesn’t come into play, the Ravens might steamroll them to establish dominance.

Ravens vs. Browns Location: Huntington Bank Field, Cleveland, Ohio

Tennessee Titans @ Detroit Lions

From playing perfect games to winning close encounters, Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions come to this home game vs. Tennessee riding a 4-game win streak. In their last game, they took down the undefeated Vikings. Titans are 1-5 through week 7 and another show of ruthless aggression is expected from Dan Campbell and co.

The Lions defense is as good as their offense, if not better. The Titans have switched between Will Levis and Mason Rudolph as their starting QB but they have had serious troubles getting the offense going, all season long. The way Jared Goff and co. run through their oppositions, expect this to be a beatdown for the Titans.

Lions vs. Titans Location: Ford Field, Detroit, Michigan.

Buffalo Bills @ Seattle Seahawks

The Bills vs. The Seahawks game will see Seattle defending their home turf for the 5th time this season, a task where they are 2-2. The Bills, who are 5-2 through week 7, have a 2-2 win-loss record in away games. This could be a close encounter as the Seahawks are not a side you can count out easily. They put on a show against the Falcons in their last outing and have had close games against the likes of Detroit Lions.

Josh Allen is yet to be intercepted this season. The Bills QB has thrown 1,483 yards for 12 touchdowns this season. Paired with Keon Coleman, James Cook and the recently acquired wideout Amari Cooper, the Bills offense looks better than ever. This game has the potential to be a nail-biter!

Bills vs. Seahawks Location: Lumen Field, Seattle, Washington

Kansas City Chiefs @ Las Vegas Raiders

If you are excited for the Cowboys game this weekend, you have every reason to be. The only undefeated team this season, the 2-time defending Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs are back in action against the Las Vegas Raiders. The acquisition of DeAndre Hopkins is only going to make the Chiefs, who are 6-0 through Week 7, stronger and better.

Kansas City has been a bit unlucky in the wideouts department, with Rashee Rice and Hollywood Brown due to injuries and JuJu Smith-Schuster suffering an aggravated hamstring in the game vs. the 49ers. But Patrick Mahomes and co. have found the answer to all the questions yet. With Chiefs head coach Andy Reid hinting towards the Sunday Night Football debut of DeAndre Hopkins, Big Red’s boys look ready.

Same thing cannot be said about the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders have lost 2 of their 3 home games and another home game, that too against the unbeaten Chiefs doesn’t look like the ideal game to get the momentum going. Stranger things have happened and not to forget, the Raider have a win over the Baltimore Ravens this season!

Chiefs vs. Raiders Location: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dallas Cowboys @ San Francisco 49ers

The Cowboys will need all the resources against the 49ers. And the activation of RB Dalvin Cook for the Sunday Night Football game should come as a welcome sight. Dak Prescott and co. are 3-3 through week 7 and the Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy finds himself on the hot seat

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones would be expecting some magic from his side, given they were absolutely decimated by the Detroit Lions in their last game. Dallas would take comfort in the fact that they are 3-0 in away games and this one against the 49ers might be the game that can get them going.

The San Francisco 49ers are struggling at 3-4 through week 7. They haven’t played like the 49ers of last season, the team that almost won the Super Bowl. A season ending injury to Brandon Aiyuk and no signs of Christian McCaffrey’s return, HC Kyle Shanahan and QB Brock Purdy would be looking to improve their 2-2 home record this season. We are still siding with the Niners to pull this off!

Cowboys vs. 49ers Location: Levi’s Stadium, Santa Clara, California.
