A devastating repeat blow for the Jaguars as Christian Kirk faces another season-ending injury
Jacksonville Jaguars’ main slot receiver, Christian Kirk, has been sidelined for the season due to a broken left collarbone he suffered during the team’s tight 30-27 defeat against the Green Bay Packers in Week 8. ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared the news late Sunday.
According to Schefter, Kirk had garnered trade interest last week with the NFL trade deadline approaching on November 5.

Six Jaguars players, including Kirk and the entire starting wide receiver trio, suffered injuries during the matchup. Gabe Davis sustained a shoulder injury, while rookie Brian Thomas Jr. exited late with a chest injury.
Kirk’s injury happened when he landed on his upper left arm while attempting a leaping catch on a 3rd-and-11 play in the fourth quarter. Packers linebacker Edgerrin Cooper collided with him, breaking up the pass and unfortunately causing the injury.
In that game, Kirk made two catches for 59 yards, bringing his season total to 27 receptions for 379 yards and a single touchdown.
OH NO CHRISTIAN KIRK.

For the 27-year-old, this marks a second consecutive year with an early season end due to injury, as a core muscle injury halted his 2023 season in Week 13.
Across 37 games since signing a four-year contract, Kirk has amassed 27 catches for 379 yards and one touchdown, with an impressive career-best average of 14 yards per catch.
Currently in his third year of a $72 million contract (with $37 million guaranteed) signed in March 2022, Kirk will earn $14.5 million this season.
This marks the second year in a row that injuries have prematurely ended his season; he missed the final five games of 2023 due to a groin injury.
Since joining the Jaguars, Christian Kirk has recorded 168 catches, totaling 2,274 yards and 12 touchdowns. His best season came in 2022, where he achieved career highs with 84 receptions for 1,108 yards and eight touchdowns.
