The countdown for Super Bowl LIX has officially begun with just hours to go before kick-off. With each passing day, the tension has built up, excitement fills the air, and the unpleasant feeling of waiting continues to grow longer and longer.

The Super Bowl is quite simply the greatest single-game event in the United States sporting calendar and it culminates the remarkable season that started not so long ago last September. Super Bowl Start Time 2025

Super Bowl LIX is set to start at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 09, which will be 3:30 p.m. on the West Coast. However, it is important to note that the kickoff is usually delayed by around 10 minutes depending upon how much time is required for the pregame activities such as the team introductions, coin toss, national anthem, and more.

The site of the Super Bowl for this year will be the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Who Is Playing In Super Bowl 2025?

The two teams playing in this year’s Super Bowl are the 2-time defending Champions, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. This will be a rematch of Super Bowl LVII which the Chiefs won 38-35 in a game that went down to the wire.

Both teams are heading into the final game on the back of some strong performances.

Philadelphia has relied on its newly formed run attack with Saquon Barkley aided by quarterback Jalen Hurts to stitch together a brilliant season finishing 14-3 in the regular season. In the playoffs, the Eagles took care of the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round, followed by the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round, and the Washington Commanders in the NFC Conference Championship.

On the flip side, the Kansas City Chiefs have struggled to find balance on both sides of the ball at the same time. Their offensive production has gone down quite a bit from previous years but they managed a 15-1 record in the regular season finding a variety of ways to win close games. After earning a bye-week in the Wild Card Round, the Chiefs took care of business against the Houston Texans in the Divisional Round and followed that up with a win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Conference Championship.

The lead official for Super Bowl LIX will be Ron Torbert. This will be his second Super Bowl as the lead referee after he oversaw Super Bowl LVI between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals.

As the Super Bowl is awarded to multiple broadcasters on a rotational basis, Super Bowl LIX will be telecast by FOX this year. Those who want to catch the game in Spanish can do so on Fox Deportes.

Additionally, the game can also be viewed via streaming on Tubi in 4K as well as other options such as Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, fuboTV, Sling TV, and the NFL app.

FOX’s crew of Kevin Burkhardt and Tom Brady will call the game while Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will be on sideline reporting duty.

Who Is Singing The National Anthem At The Super Bowl?

The singing of the National Anthem is one of the most awaited pregame festivities and this year the honor will go to Grammy and Academy Award winner Jon Batiste.

Similarly, the Super Bowl’s halftime show is also quite popular amongst fans and that will be performed by seventeen-time Grammy Award-winner Kendrick Lamar along with SZA.
