Khamzat Chimaev Reveals His Plans For 2025, Plans To Achieve New Heights!

Eric Divakaran

Khamzat is one of the most electrifying players in the UFC today. He fights in the middleweight division and has taken out some of the biggest names in the game. This includes the likes of Robert Whittaker, Kamaru Usman, Gilbert Burns, and many more. He is undefeated in the UFC so far and is a perfect 14-0-0. Chimaev has a perfect combination of Striking and grappling. He can take an opponent out when he’s on his feet or defeat his opponent on the ground. Fighters have to be extremely cautious when they are fighting him on the ground as he is an expert at making his opponents tap out.

In UFC 308, we saw how dangerous of a man Chimaev is. He made Robert Whittaker tap out in the very first round of the fight. It is was barely even a contest and this is Robert Whittaker we’re talking about. Whittaker had never lost via submission in the UFC prior. However, Chimaev ended the fight quickly by getting behind Whittaker and choking him out. The fight barely got past a minute. His toughest matchup was definitely Kamaru Usman and it took Chimaev, all three rounds to beat him.

It seems like the only way to have any chance against the wrestler, is to last all the rounds and tire him out. Usman did exactly that and was the only fighter so far, who came a little close to beating him. Recently shared his plans for what he plans to accomplish in 2025. Let us look at what Khamzat Chimaev has planned for the year.

Chimaev plans to take on two fights in 2025

Chimaev revealed that he plans to take on the winner from the Strickland vs. Du Plessis fight, for the UFC middleweight title by May or June of 2025. Then he wants to defend the title by the time October comes, at Abu Dhabi.

Will the fight happen? We cannot be too sure but given the circumstances. As Nassourdine Imavov currently sits at 2nd place for title contention. Khamzat is 8-0 in the UFC and is hungry to make the middleweight title his. He has been waiting for a long time to take the strap for himself. However, it has not happened so far. Even if Chimaev gets a title shot and wins, he may most likely not fight in october and may have to wait a little longer than he is anticipating.

Can Chimaev win against any of the two Middleweight fighter?

Chimaev is undefeated and and has won all of his eight fights so far. He definitely has a chance as to win, as it would be foolish to say he doesn’t. However, Du Plessis is at the peak of his prime, currently, and so is Sean Strickland. Du Plessis has beaten Strickland before but it was a very close matchup. This time, UFC 312 will truly determine who is the better fighter amongst the two.

Whereas for Chimaev, he is obviously hungry for a title shot but UFC President and CEO, Dana White, has not revealed any plans for the wrestler yet. Only that “he’s in line,” for the title.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
