Philadelphia 76ers are 10-21 without Joel Embiid this season.
Philadelphia 76ers are on a roller-coaster ride in the regular season and injuries are also putting them down in the crucial NBA matchups. Their key players, Joel Embiid and Paul George are constantly in and out of the rotation.
Amid struggling season, 76ers majority owner Josh Harris showed optimism and also shared positive thoughts on Joel Embiid, who is recovering from an injury. The NBA All-Star played in only 13 games this season.
“We’re still really happy with Joel,” Josh Harris spoke to David Aldridge of The Athletic. “He’s a warrior. I’ve seen this. He’s fought through a lot of injuries.”

Harris gave a reference of Joel Embiid’s MVP season when he came back after missing two seasons due to injury. He said, “You remember when we started, in his first (two) years, he didn’t play at all. And then, in his third year, he played 30-something games. And then, he fought through all of that and became the MVP. So, he’s fighting right now, and we’re fighting.”
“Obviously, it’s been a disappointing season. No one’s happy with where we are. We’re not happy.” The Sixers owner expressed his dissatisfaction with the team’s standing in the West.
Meanwhile, Harris backs Philadelphia 76ers to deliver a comeback in the second half of the season. The Sixers had a terrible start and they improved in the middle with a 10-3 record. However, they came back to previous slump and dropped seven straight games this month.
He also commented on Embiid’s health. “I want him to get his body right and get on the court. If he gets back on the court, everything’s going to fall into place,” Harris added. “I know him as a person, and I know him as an individual, and I know how hard he’s working.”
